Well our first vacation together in years is underway, and immediately the relaxation and enjoyment set it. I had seen pictures of the area as well as heard different stories from people and had already drawn my own conclusions of how i was going to see the place. When we arrived yesterday, i was not disappointed in the least bit. Quiet streets lined with all kinds of eclectic shops and people.
we arrived at our hotel, and immediately headed out to see the sights. we walked around checking out some of the unique shops, and looked at the many incredible pieces of architecture in the area. we had a delicious but a little pricey dinner at the hotel before hitting the street to check out the zombie parade.
after the parade we walked around for a while longer, the shops were all closed but it was nice to hang out and just take it easy. we went back to the hotel, and sat out on the balcony for a couple of hours, talking with friends and enjoying everything the crisp quiet evening had to offer us.
tomorrow we will spend shopping and walking around some more, and at night time we are planning on taking a ghost hunting tour right here in the hotel, hopefully something supernatural will happen, keeping the fingers crossed for that one..
So want to go, but we have yet to make it down there. May have to bump it up on the list of destinations.
ReplyDeleteit really is a cool destination, relaxing when you need it to be, but also vibrant and active if your looking for that..
