Lake time, tuff girls, and pizza

dang another day has found it's way to the end and I am left here to write more stuff about it, greetings and welcome to yet another day in the life, with this day being exceptionally delightful. Today's awesomeness commenced early this am with a ride down to the lake in the new ride.  I must say that even for a rainy day which is was indeed, it was still an awesome time just hanging out at the lake for an hour or so, it just has that way of making you go ahhh, and taking a deep breath, and yes even an hour at the lake in the rain can make you forget all your city troubles immediately.  The 4 wheeler's battery was completely dead, but thanks to the lake buds, I had the means to get the battery up and charged. so it should be more than ready when I go down again.

shortly after getting the 4 wheeler up and running, I started to take a drive around, however, the rain decided to start falling at that precise moment and I got a short distance from the lot before it really started picking up and I had to come back and park the dang thing. was nice to get out for a moment though, so that should tell you how important the lake is to me, and how I love it so much and look forward to each and every season.  this will be our 4th year down here, and its amazing how fast the time has flown already.

After our short visit to the lake, we headed to some friends which live in the area for some friendly conversation and some good eatin. Carla & Monique have an incredible place, on a quiet country road back in the woods, and it really is always a treat to visit them and hang for a spell enjoying the quietness and the surroundings. Carla provided us with an incredible lunch of homemade chicken and dumplings, chicken pot pie, and homemade apple pie with ice cream for dessert, and all this just 2 hours after eating a huge meal at Cracker barrel, so I can honestly say I got my fill this morning and afternoon.  we headed home around 4 since there was pending bad weather moving in, and we still had to take care of the babies as well.

After getting some decent relaxing in, it was time to head out to another part of the city with the buds to attend a roller derby match for a friend. its a fun thing to watch, however we were there to watch one of the cheerleaders do a routine during the half time show, then we made our way out of there, everyone was hungry so we set our sights on some pizza which put us in a place called "Dewey's"  a simple pizza place, it was tasty but not very memorable. I would eat there again to try one of the other pizzas though...
